Carmel’s Politics department took a trip to London over the Half Term break. The group of 23 students and 3 members of staff enjoyed glorious sunshine whilst they trekked around London seeing the sights.

Their itinerary included visits to the British Museum, the National Gallery in Trafalgar Square, the London Museum, St Paul’s Cathedral and of course the Houses of Parliament. The group managed to fit everything in over two full days using the tube and bus but they still covered 13 miles on foot too!

The highlight of the trip was their parliamentary visit which included seeing the House of Commons and the House of Lords in action. The group also met with local MP Marie Rimmer. Marie always takes time out to speak to our very eager Politics students who enjoyed the interesting Q&A session.

The students had a great time on the trip and as always, were a credit to the College!
