Art & Design students we have an amazing opportunity as part of our Inspire Me series, hosted by the incredibly talented Lorraine Wirecko-Brobby. There are only 20 places available, contact Leah West on Teams to book your place, you will also need to 3 items of clothing/accessories for the workshop!

🗣️ Lorraine Wireko-Brobby – LCF: Creative Direction For Fashion Workshop
📍 N001 & Photography Studio
📅 Friday 13th December
🕜 1:20PM-2:40PM

Using fashion publications as a framework, students will be assigned industry roles and will work together to build images, using styling, photography and production techniques. Students will consider different styles of magazine publications (for example Vogue, Dazed, I-D etc.). This session aims to help students consider what sort of creative they are, how they can achieve this at UAL and what does this look like in the industry. Students will be able to ask questions about the course and roles in the fashion industry.

Suitable for anyone interested in: fashion media, photography, content creation, art direction, styling and more!

One hundred of our Art, Design and Performing Arts

One hundred of our Art, Design and Performing Arts students recently travelled to London for three days of sightseeing, gallery visits and a theatre shows! 🤩🇬🇧

The students visited some amazing galleries and museums, including:

@natural_history_museum
@tate Modern and Britain Galleries
@nationalgallery
@nationalportraitgallery

They also explored Borough Market, had a tour of the @the_globe theatre and enjoyed a ride on an Uber boat down the River Thames.

Students also had the opportunity to watch the incredible award-winning musical @hamiltonwestend at Victoria Palace Theatre in The West End.

What an incredible trip, we’re glad to see you all had a fantastic time together! 🙌

Joanna is a former St Edmund Arrowsmith (Whiston) student and left Carmel in 2013 and embarked on an academic journey that led her to the prestigious University College London (UCL), where she studied Psychology from 2013 to 2016. Her dedication and passion for the field culminated in her earning a Doctorate in Education and Child Psychology from UCL, a remarkable achievement spanning from 2019 to 2022.

During this special event, Dr. Joanna Parry will share her personal experiences, shedding light on her university journey and offering insights into her fulfilling career as an Education and Child Psychologist.
