Our A Level Drama and Theatre students enjoyed a Set and Lighting Design workshop with Theatre Technician and Teacher, Pat O’Leary.

During the session, students learnt how to scale up a conceptual set design into a 3D set build. The students were also taught about how the application of light can affect the tone, atmosphere and central focus of the set. The insights and experience gained from this workshop, has inspired our students with their upcoming work. As a result, students will focus on the creative process of making technical and design decisions and how they will apply this to the Plays they are studying.

We’d like to thank Pat for visiting and giving our students the opportunity to better understand the techniques used by professionals in the performance industry.
