Our Lower Sixth Chemistry students have won the The Royal Society of Chemistry’s Young Analyst Competition for the Merseyside region!

We are so proud to hear the results of this year’s Young Analyst Competition hosted by the University of Liverpool. Our Lower Sixth Chemistry students competed against twenty five other schools across the region to bring home the win.

This prestigious competition tests the analytical and practical skills of students, as well as presenting concepts that are beyond the A-Level syllabus. For this reason our entire science department is ecstatic about the news!

Congratulations to Katie Lindley, Ryan Savage and Yasmin Al-Zuhairi for taking part and representing Carmel College at the Merseyside heats. In addition to receiving Amazon vouchers for their hard work, they also won a cheque for £250 for the college. Our students will compete again in June at the National final at Manchester, against schools from across the country.
