Before the summer our Lower Sixth Chemistry students (now Upper Sixth) challenged themselves despite the challenges of lockdown, by entering the Cambridge Chemistry Challenge competition.

This week the students received their certificates to mark their achievements. As usual, our students did incredibly well, with two students, Ben Atchison and Jazib Akhyar receiving the coveted GOLD award!

The University of Cambridge runs the competition and it is open to students who study in the UK. It aims to stretch and challenge students with an interest in Chemistry. An experienced team designs the challenge which takes students significantly beyond the syllabus, encouraging them to think about science in the way they would at university. Those students with the highest marks in the exam receive certificates.

Well done to all our students who took part.
