Bus Pass Instructions
- After you enrol, you’ll receive an email invitation to join ParentMail (the E-mail will be sent to the Primary Contact used on your application).
- Can’t find it? Check your junk folder, or email finance@carmel.ac.uk to request a resend.
- Once you’ve registered on ParentMail, select your bus service.
- Warrington Westbrook, and Widnes buses are FREE
- Latchford and Culcheth buses cost £445 for 2025 – 2026
- Pass (via App) is essential for travel on any of the college contracted services

College-contracted buses are dedicated transport services. Only Carmel students can travel on these buses; they are not open to the public.

Don’t Forget to Download Your Bus Pass
Once you have registered on ParentMail, head to the Payments/Shop section and select the bus pass you need. Payment should be made for the Latchford or Culcheth routes. If you’re using a FREE service, you still need to select your route in the shop so we can confirm numbers and allocate the right size vehicle.
After selecting your route, you’ll receive a follow-up email from the Bus Hub (sent to the student’s college email) within a few weeks. This will include instructions on how to register with the MAYNE Transport App, where your digital bus pass will be issued.

Free Bus Pass for Eligible Students
Students living in the Borough of St Helens (household council tax paid to St Helens MBC) who live more than 2 miles from Carmel College (as the crow flies) may qualify for a FREE Merseytravel bus pass this academic year.
How to apply:
- Students are eligible for ONE free pass only (i.e., Warrington, Widnes, Merseytravel
- After you enrol, register on ParentMail and navigate to payments/shop
- Sign up for the Merseytravel Solo FREE transport pass if you are eligible and plan to use the bus pass
