The BTEC Business Level 3 at Carmel College gives every learner the opportunity to develop a real understanding of what is involved, both theoretically and practically, in becoming an effective business professional.

We try to give you a greater involvement with businesses. Therefore, we offer more trips to businesses, more research of real businesses, and a one-week work placement in the second year. Additionally, we encourage greater development of the personal skills you will need to succeed in the business world.

You have the opportunity to study the course as a single qualification which is the equivalent to 1 A Level (Extended Certificate). However, you can study the course as a double award qualification which is the equivalent to 2 A Levels (Diploma).

What Our Students Say

Studying BTEC Business at Carmel was enjoyable because the coursework offers something different from most other A Level courses. A large part of the grade I get is in my control. I enjoy completing the coursework because of the practical element involved. Also, I am learning about things that can be applied to a real-life scenario within a business.

I would recommend BTEC Business to other students because if you are willing to put the effort in, you will come out with a high grade at the end of the two years. After I leave college I hope to go to university and use what I have learnt at Carmel College to help me to get a degree in Business and Economics.
