Over the Summer holidays, two of our students took part in some exciting work experience. Tiffany Purwanti and Eliana Mae Macaraig, who study the UAL Extended Diploma in Creative Practice at Carmel, went to Dock 10 Studios at the BBC. During the workshops they learnt many skills working in front of the camera and behind the scenes; skills included: camera work, camera assistance, presentation, graphics, set building and VT. This was part of Rise Academy media technology workshops. They learned how to present Match of the Day, CBBC and the News as well as see behind the scenes of the BBC.
Eliana said “We really enjoyed this summer school as we explored a wide range of activities and even visited BBC Sport where they were broadcasting the Paris 2024 Olympics.”
