The audience was swept away to the Emerald City last night as students delivered a vibrant and entertaining performance of The Wizard of Oz panto at Carmel College.

From the opening moments, the production captured the imagination, following Dorothy on her journey to visit the Wizard of Oz in the hope of finding her way back to Carmel College.

The cast, made up of talented students from the Panto Club enrichment group, impressed throughout with their confidence, energy and clear enjoyment of the stage. The production was filled with humour and charm, encouraging enthusiastic audience participation and creating a warm, joyful atmosphere in our Dalton Theatre.

The set design, music and overall staging came together seamlessly, resulting in a polished and professional production that wowed everyone in attendance. The audience responded with laughter, applause and full engagement from start to finish, making it a memorable evening for performers and viewers alike.

Special recognition goes to Manny, Head of BTEC Performance (Musical Theatre), along with the dedicated team working behind the scenes. Their hard work, creativity and collaborative approach ensured the success of the production and provided students with a valuable opportunity to showcase their talents.
