Last night, the Dalton Theatre came alive as Carmel College’s talented BTEC Performance (Musical Theatre) students, alongside members of the Musical Theatre Club and Dance Club enrichments, took to the stage for an unforgettable Night at the West End.

The packed audience of family, friends and Carmel staff enjoyed an exciting showcase of songs, dances and performances from a wide selection of our favourite West End musicals. From the powerful energy of Hamilton and the timeless charm of The Sound of Music, to the glitz of Moulin Rouge, the uplifting hits of Mamma Mia!, the emotion of Everybody’s Talking About Jamie and the iconic style of Cabaret, the evening celebrated a huge variety of musical theatre classics.

Throughout the night, students impressed the audience with energetic group numbers, impressive solos and creative choreography, highlighting the incredible talent and hard work that had gone into the production.

The show was also a real team effort behind the scenes, with students and staff helping with lighting, set design, technical support and refreshments to make the evening a success.

Manny, Head of BTEC Performance (Musical Theatre), said the students had “worked so, so hard” and that she was “incredibly proud” of everything they had achieved.

By the end of the night, it was clear that ‘A Night at the West End’ had been a huge success and one of the best productions ever seen at the Dalton Theatre.
