Students enjoyed an exciting and informative visit to Lancaster University as part of an enrichment opportunity organised by Careers Manager, Jo Billington.
The trip gave students the chance to experience university life first-hand and explore the wide range of opportunities available in higher education. Throughout the day, students took part in a guided campus tour led by Lancaster University’s student ambassadors, who shared their own experiences of university life, accommodation, studying, and student support.
Students also attended a series of insightful talks designed to provide valuable advice and guidance on topics including university applications, personal statements, student finance, and preparing for life after college. The sessions encouraged students to start thinking about their future pathways and helped them gain a clearer understanding of what university study can offer.
The visit proved to be both engaging and inspiring, with many students commenting on how useful it was to explore the campus environment and ask questions directly to current university students.
Careers Manager Jo Billington said:
“We are always keen to provide students with opportunities to explore their future options and gain experiences beyond the classroom. Visits such as this help students build confidence, ask important questions, and start considering the many pathways available to them after college.”
The college would like to thank Lancaster University for providing such a warm welcome and for delivering an informative and memorable experience for our students.
