Our Student Council President, Eva Carroll, joins Eamonn and Ruth on ITV’s This Morning to discuss her ‘Stop Street Harassment’ campaign.
This TV appearance will give Eva the opportunity to raise awareness as well as share her own personal experience. During the interview, Eva explains how this type of behaviour is unacceptable. It makes people feel helpless, angry and upset. Her campaign continues to receive an influx of support and responses from others who have been in a similar situation. It focuses on how young girls can learn to stand up for themselves and say it’s not OK!
Eva is a member of the UK Youth Parliament for Liverpool. She recently tabled a motion to stop street harassment which 91% of national Members of Youth Parliament (MYPs) backed. She would also like to take her campaign all the way to the House of Commons.
