Forty of our A-Level PE and BTEC Sport students attended Everton’s training facility, Finch Farm!

The afternoon began with students observing the Everton U21 squad taking part in a strength & condition session. This was followed by a tour of the club’s training complex, including visiting the indoor training pitch, gym facility, academy offices, U18 pitch and outdoor training pitches.

Following the tour, students took part in seminars with a range of specialist staff who discussed their roles within Everton Football Club and career pathways into elite sport. Experts in performance analytics, sports psychology, performance insights, sports science, education and player welfare delivered these engaging sessions.

Key messages that they were able to take away were to gain as much voluntary experience as possible to enhance your CV and personal statement if applying for university or considering a career in elite sport.

A big thank you to Chris Adamson, Head of Education and Player Care at @Everton Football Club for organising the afternoon and all staff involved!
