Thirty two PE and BTEC Sport students attended Everton’s training ground at Finch Farm.
The trip included a tour of the ground and guest speakers discussing their roles within the football club. Students listened intently to a range of specialist staff speak about career pathways. These included diet and nutrition, strength and conditioning coaching, sports rehabilitation, sports analysis and sport science. It was a really inspiring day with with some good advice. The key message was to gain as much experience now, prior to completing degrees, if students want to work in elite sport.
