Our Upper and Lower Sixth students, Jessica, Ethan, Olivia and Ahmed, attended the Senior Team Maths Challenge in Liverpool.
The challenge provides enrichment and challenge to teams of students in the UK. The competition tests students in years 11, 12 and 13 on their mathematical communication and team work skills. The teams are in groups of four and have to compete in several rounds to reach the final. Overall the aim of the competition is to experience fun whilst tackling mathematical problems as part of a team. Also helps the students develop their maths communication and team work skills.
Our students were up against other schools from around the North west and finished in 7th place, which is a huge achievement! Congratulations!
