Earlier this week, our Lower Sixth Philosophy, Ethics & Religion students visited the city of Liverpool for an educational trip.

The aim of the trip was to start to explore their course induction theme ‘Who am I?’. The day began with a visit to the World Museum to see the Ancient Egypt Gallery and the incredible mummy room. Students also experienced the Space Gallery, as well as participating in discussions about the concept of life after death and the nature of the universe.

Afterwards, the group headed over to the Anglican Cathedral for a guided tour focusing on A Level themes which students will cover throughout the rest of the academic year. The tour was followed by the ‘Tower Experience’ where students had the fantastic opportunity to ascend to the top of the cathedral to witness the breathtaking panoramic views of Merseyside and beyond!

This was an excellent day out for our students to experience learning beyond the boundaries of the classroom. For more information about studying this course at Carmel please visit our:
