This summer, several of our amazing students will have the wonderful opportunity to join hundreds of young people from across the Archdiocese of Liverpool on the annual pilgrimage to Lourdes.
This special journey is not only a chance to travel and meet others from across the region, but also an opportunity to experience faith, friendship, service, and community in a truly meaningful way.
During the week-long pilgrimage, our students will dedicate their time to supporting pilgrims with a range of health and mobility needs. From pushing wheelchairs and offering assistance throughout the day, to sharing conversations, prayers, encouragement, and smiles, they will play an important role in helping others enjoy this very special experience. Through acts of kindness and service, our students will also have the chance to grow in confidence, compassion, independence, and faith.
Preparing for the pilgrimage has already brought our college community together in a positive and inspiring way. To help raise funds for the trip, our students, supported by the Chaplaincy team, organised a charity car wash today. There was plenty of teamwork, laughter, and community spirit throughout the day, and it was wonderful to see everyone getting involved.
Thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, and supported the fundraiser. Your generosity and encouragement will help our students make the most of this incredible opportunity.
We are really proud of all the students taking part and admire their willingness to give their time to help and support others. We know this experience will create memories and friendships that will last a lifetime, while also allowing them to make a real difference to the lives of those they meet along the way.
We wish all of our students a safe, unforgettable, and truly blessed pilgrimage to Lourdes this summer.
