Congratulations to our Maths whizzes who calculated their way to victory recently in the UKMT Senior Maths Challenge.

The competition is made up of a 90 minute multiple choice questions taken by students aged 16-18 in the UK and around the world.

This year, a total of 126 of our Upper and Lower Sixth students took part in the challenge and our Principal, Janet Gater and our Maths teachers proudly presented our students with their certificates yesterday.

We are proud to announce that fifty-nine of our students received a bronze award, thirty-two students received silver and six students received gold!

Along with winning a gold award, students Jarukshan Vignesvararajah, Molly Campbell, Matthew Warburton and Kiera Nicholas took part in the ‘Andrew Jobbings Kangaroo Round’ where Molly achieved a certificate of Merit.

Upper Sixth student, Samuel Crosthwaite was invited to take part in the 1st Round of the British Olympiad and we are awaiting his scores! Good luck!
