Our Latin Society, led by Sandra Gonzalez Green and the MFL team, where working with Luma Creations during Liverpool’s Latin Feria last week!

At the opening ceremony in St George’s Hall, Carmel student Gael Espinoza-Paredes proudly showcased his artwork, which was on public display all week. His family and Luma Creations spoke warmly about Carmel College, our Latin Society, and the brilliant cultural connections fostered by the MFL team.

Following on from the opening ceremony, our collaboration with Luma Creations continued as Spanish student Sofía Jarauta took part in the festival at the World Museum in Liverpool. Sofía proudly represented her heritage, wearing a traditional flamenco dress from Andalucía and joining in the vibrant music and dance performances.

Sofía said she loved being part of such a colourful celebration, “It was amazing to share my culture through music and dance, see other traditions from Latin-American countries, and feel proud to express my roots.”
