Our Lower sixth Future Teachers have been presented with their certificates for their hard work and dedication.

Earlier today eleven of our Lower Sixth students who have taken part in the Future Teachers programme, received their certificates recognising their passion for teaching. The programme is offered as a pathway to help those interested in a career in teaching gain future employment within education. Additionally, it engages students with the realistic perspective of the various areas that make up a teacher’s daily responsibilities. During the fourteen week course students have undertaken work experience placements within multiple learning environments to test their understanding of the requirements and demands of teaching.

Principal, Mike Hill, attended the certificate presentation to offer a few words of wisdom to our aspiring students:

“This is a very rewarding career, so congratulations to all of you for demonstrating the passion and drive it takes to educate the future, younger generations.”

Congratulations to all of our students who received their certificates, we are very proud to see so many of you interested in teaching and look forward to supporting you into your Upper sixth year.
