Carmel A-level Textiles and Art Foundation students attended Graduate fashion week to view a range of exciting catwalk shows and the best of GFW selection show. The students had the opportunity to view portfolios from universities all over the country and attend informative talks hosted by industry professionals including Hilary Alexander and Julian Macdonald. They also visited the V&A museum to view Balenciaga-Shaping fashion exhibition, where students were able to see the work of designers they have referenced and studied first hand. It was great to see the outstanding progression made by former student Lucy Williams who graduated from Salford University this year showing an amazing fashion collection, which gained interest from George and Skinnydip fashion brands. We wish her and the rest of this years’ graduates every success in their future careers.
