Before the half-term break, our Foundation Learning students demonstrated the power of kindness by helping Maureen, a resident at Reeve Court Village, transform her garden into a lovely space for her to enjoy.
Over three weeks, students dedicated their time, energy and enthusiasm to the project, making a real difference to Maureen and her surroundings.
Their kindness meant so much to Maureen that she felt a simple thank-you card wasn’t enough. Instead, she wrote the students a beautiful poem to express her gratitude and appreciation.
This fantastic initiative is a wonderful example of Catholic Social Teaching in action, particularly the principle of the Common Good. Our students demonstrated compassion, generosity and a genuine commitment to supporting others in their local community.
We are incredibly proud of our Foundation Learning students for putting our values into action and showing how even small acts of kindness can make a lasting difference.
