Foundation Learning students at Carmel College were celebrated this week for their outstanding achievements in completing their Bronze and Silver Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards.

A special awards ceremony was held to recognise the dedication, resilience, and hard work demonstrated by students throughout their Duke of Edinburgh journey. Family members, friends, and college staff gathered to celebrate the achievements of the award recipients and acknowledge the commitment required to complete the prestigious programme.

The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award encourages young people to develop new skills, contribute to their communities, improve their physical fitness, and undertake adventurous expeditions. Throughout the programme, students embraced new challenges, stepped outside their comfort zones, and demonstrated determination in achieving their goals.

The celebration provided an opportunity to reflect on the many accomplishments of the students and recognise the personal growth, confidence, and independence they have gained along the way.

Staff expressed their pride in the students’ achievements, praising their enthusiasm, perseverance, and willingness to challenge themselves throughout the award programme.

Congratulations to all of our Bronze and Silver Duke of Edinburgh Award recipients. Their success is a testament to their hard work and commitment, and they should be incredibly proud of everything they have achieved.
