Students from the Ethics and Values Department recently enjoyed an educational visit to Liverpool, where they explored two of the city’s most iconic cathedrals.
The trip began at Liverpool Cathedral, the largest cathedral in Britain. Students were struck by its impressive Gothic architecture and had the opportunity to explore the remarkable artwork and peaceful interior of this historic building.
The group then travelled to the striking Metropolitan Cathedral of Christ the King. Here, students were guided by an engaging tour led by Tom, who brought the cathedral to life through insightful explanations of its symbolism, sacraments, and rich history.
Throughout the visit, students gained a deeper understanding of the religious, cultural, and historical significance of both sites, as well as their importance to the local community.
The trip provided a valuable opportunity for students to experience first-hand the themes they study in the classroom, making for a memorable and enriching day.
