Carmel College proved a force to be reckoned with in the art world, with the opening night of their Summer Show ‘Changing Places’ exhibition in St Helens town centre on Thursday.

Occupying the former Burtons store, the students from the Art Foundation Diploma pushed boundaries in every specialism from film and documentary to fashion and architecture. The display in the windows at the front of the shop gave a flavour of what was inside including 3D forms, Textiles, Graphic Design, Photography and Fine Art. The presentation was contemporary and innovative, displayed on scaffolding and utilising every inch of space over the two floors. It was a full house on Thursday evening attended by hundreds of appreciative art lovers.

The ‘Changing Places’ exhibition will open its doors just one more time with a Public Open Event on Saturday 23rd June 10 am – 4 pm before the students take up their places at some of the most prestigious universities in the country.
