This October, in celebration of Black History Month, our students were invited to participate in a creative competition honouring inspirational Black figures throughout history.
The response was incredible, with entries reflecting talent, imagination, and thought-provoking messages that highlighted the achievements and legacies of remarkable individuals.
Every submission showcased the students’ creativity and commitment, from striking illustrations to powerful paintings, making the judging process both challenging and inspiring. The competition provided an opportunity for students to reflect on history, express themselves artistically, and celebrate the contributions of Black trailblazers in a meaningful way.
After careful deliberation, the winners were announced:

🥈 2nd Place: Niso Dominguez – for a beautiful and imaginative illustration that impressed the judges.
🥉 3rd Place: Jessica Daley – for a colourful and inspiring painting that truly celebrated the theme of Black History Month.
