Today, we were delighted to welcome a diverse group of faith leaders to college for our annual ‘Inter-faithing’ Event.

The day offered an inspiring opportunity for students and staff to engage with different religious and non-religious perspectives, fostering understanding and connection across communities.

The event began with an engaging question and answer session, where our visitors shared insights into their beliefs and practices. This was followed by a lunch and a lively ‘Speed-faithing’ session, giving attendees the chance to chat informally and learn more about the diverse faiths represented.

Our visitors included:

  • Ven Dhammarathana Thero (Buddhist)

  • Peter Gaskin (Humanist Minister)

  • Rev Deb Connor (Daoist Monk)

  • Fr Henry Nevin (Catholic Priest)

  • Chris Reynolds (Catholic Chaplain)

  • Zakariyya Patel (Local Imam)

  • Friends Shahid Syed and Usama Mumir

The event was a fantastic way to strengthen interfaith relations and explore shared values, whether through family, common interests, or hopes for the future. Our students and staff left with a greater understanding of different faiths and a renewed appreciation for the sense of community we share.

A special thanks to Chaplain Kath for organising such a meaningful day and to all our visitors for taking the time to join us.
