Our EcoSoc Enrichment group has been working with our canteen Chef, Kevin, to radically change the college approach to sustainable food, culture and waste and they wanted to get their message out further.

The groups weekly session and workshops discussed activism, branding and marketing where they decided to collaborate with the Lower Sixth Art students on a typography project.

Together, they decided to create the most interesting, inspiring and informative pieces of art. EcoSoc members decided who had best messages and they were transformed into art and displayed in our college canteen.

For years to come, students will look at the canteen as a true starting point in making Carmel College the eco-friendliest college in the country.

Congratulations to Graphic Design students, Neamh Wrigley and Ines Gaied and Kira Arnold, from UAL Extended Diploma in Creative Practice, who have won prizes for their art work and thanks to The Binary Box for bringing their work to life!
