Carmel College was alive with Christmas cheer yesterday as staff and students enjoyed two special events that beautifully captured the spirit of the season.
The festivities began at lunchtime with the return of the much-loved Christmas Market, which brought a selection of fantastic stalls to campus. From stocking fillers and tasty treats, to unique products created by our talented students, there was truly something for everyone.
Our Foundation Learning students wowed visitors with their handmade decorations and delicious baking, while Art & Design students showcased an impressive selection of unique, handcrafted prints and 3D Design models. Adding to the warm atmosphere, the CAFOD group did an amazing job selling hot chocolate to raise funds for their appeal.
A huge thank you to everyone who took part, supported, and helped organise another magical Christmas Market. Your festive spirit is what makes this event so special every year!
In the afternoon, the community gathered in the Dalton Theatre for Carmel’s Advent Service, a powerful reminder of what this season is truly about. Staff and students joined together to welcome the beginning of the Christian year, taking time to reflect on the hope and meaning at the heart of Christmas.
A special thank you goes to One Hope Project for providing beautiful music that enriched the service and helped create a deeply reflective and uplifting atmosphere.
We would also like to express our sincere thanks to everyone who contributed, from the singers and readers to those involved in the setup, performances, and behind-the-scenes support. Your time, talents, and dedication helped make the service truly memorable.
Together, the Christmas Market and Advent Service made for a wonderful start to the season, celebrating community, creativity, faith, and the true meaning of Christmas at Carmel College.
