One World Day is an important annual event in the college calendar. This year’s theme is “Good neighbours – my world depends on us!”

Today our students have been attending workshops delivered by visitors from a number of organisations including Author, Shaun Attwood, Poet, Mike Garry, Stephen Cruse from Amputation, Inspiration, and Motivation, George McKane from the Yellow House charity and many more.

One World Week is a time for people in their communities to learn something new about their fellow humans and the planet they inhabit. It is not a fundraising event, but an awareness-raising exercise, intended to broaden our perspectives on life and to keep us informed.

Feedback from students has been overwhelmingly positive. We are extremely grateful to all our visitors for adding to our students’ education in its widest sense. It has been a very informative and enjoyable day.
