A-level and Diploma Fashion and Textiles students recently visited Graduate Fashion Week at Truman Brewery in London, gaining valuable insight into the fashion industry and exploring future education and career opportunities.

The visit provided students with a range of engaging experiences designed to inspire and inform their next steps. They took part in a fashion illustration workshop, where they developed their creative skills, and attended an industry panel discussion, hearing directly from professionals about current trends and opportunities within the fashion sector.

One of the most valuable aspects of the day was the opportunity to meet industry professionals on a one-to-one basis. Students were able to exchange contact details, ask questions about career pathways, and receive advice from those currently working in the industry.

A highlight of the visit was the Best of Graduate Fashion Week catwalk show, which showcased outstanding graduate collections from across the country. The innovative and creative designs on display provided students with inspiration and a glimpse into the possibilities that lie ahead in higher education and the fashion industry.

Students also made the most of the opportunity to research university options, visiting course stands, speaking with representatives, and exploring graduate portfolios to help inform their future choices.

The trip was an inspiring and informative experience, giving students a greater understanding of the fashion industry while encouraging them to consider the exciting opportunities available to them as they continue their studies and develop their creative talents.
