Fifty year took part in an engaging and competitive Year 12 Problem-Solving Team Games afternoon, designed to challenge and develop their mathematical thinking.
The event was led by Martin Bamber from the Advanced Mathematics Support Programme (AMSP), who hosted a series of team-based problem-solving activities.
The session encouraged students to collaborate, think critically and communicate their reasoning effectively while tackling a range of mathematical challenges.
The afternoon proved to be a great success, with students demonstrating a high level of skill and enthusiasm throughout. Martin Bamber praised the group for their strong mathematical reasoning and clear communication, noting the impressive standard on display.
Staff also highlighted how rewarding it was to see so many students actively enjoying mathematics in a lively and competitive environment, with teamwork and problem-solving at the heart of the experience.
Events like this form our commitment to enriching the student experience and supporting those with a passion for mathematics to develop their skills beyond the classroom.
