Our A Level Graphic Design students recently visited Manchester School of Art and the School of Digital Arts (SODA) at Manchester Metropolitan University for an inspiring and informative day exploring creative higher education pathways.
The visit began with an introduction to both schools, where students learned about the wide range of courses available — from traditional and contemporary art practices to innovative digital design and immersive media. A guided tour of the impressive facilities gave them valuable insight into university life and the professional-standard environments in which creative students work.
A highlight of the trip was a hands-on UX design workshop, where students stepped into the role of user experience designers. Working collaboratively, they applied creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to develop user-focused ideas in a dynamic, real-world setting.
We are incredibly proud of how professionally and enthusiastically our students represented the department. A huge thank you to the teams at Manchester School of Art and SODA for such a warm welcome, we look forward to returning in the future.
