Carmel College is proud to celebrate the success of students from the UAL Art Foundation Diploma and Extended Diploma in Art and Design, whose work has been selected for a major advertising campaign by The Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool.

Following a live creative brief set by the Walker Art Gallery, students were challenged to respond to the theme of the gallery’s upcoming exhibition, Turner, Always Contemporary. The brief offered students a unique opportunity to work to professional standards, mirroring real-world creative industry practice.

The Gallery has now chosen a selection of student work to feature in its official advertising campaign. The successful designs will be displayed on billboards across Liverpool city centre and used within the Gallery’s online promotional platforms, giving students invaluable exposure and professional recognition.

This achievement highlights the creativity, ambition and technical skill of Carmel’s art students, as well as the strength of the College’s links with leading cultural institutions. Working on a live brief allowed students to develop key employability skills, including interpreting client needs, working to deadlines and presenting ideas for a public audience.
