Eight of our talented Lower Sixth, Upper Sixth and Art Foundation students spent an inspiring day at the National Football Museum in Manchester for the Articulation Discovery Day.
Working in teams, they explored and analysed incredible artworks from the museum’s gallery, including Silenced by Colin Yates, The Art of the Game by Michael Browne, and Lily Parr by Hannah Stewart. Each group delivered insightful presentations that showcased their creativity, critical thinking, and confidence.
It was a fantastic opportunity to collaborate with students from other sixth forms and to present in front of representatives from both the National Gallery and the National Football Museum.
Next up, our students will take part in an internal heat at college, where they’ll each present a 10-minute talk on an artwork of their choice. The winner will go on to represent Carmel College at the Whitworth Art Gallery in the prestigious Articulation Prize!
We’re so proud of our students’ hard work and enthusiasm, well done, everyone!
