The 2014 examination results were fantastic and represent the high quality teaching and learning at Carmel College. Such outstanding achievements lead to excellent opportunities for the future.
This year the college has six students who are continuing their studies at the prestigious Oxbridge Universities:-
Aaron Brown (Hope Academy), 2 A*s, an A and a B, Computer Science
Jack Clough (St Gregory's) 4 A*s and 2 As, Natural Sciences
Will Neal (De La Salle), 3 A*s and 2 As, Natural Sciences
Adam Roberts (Sutton Academy), A* and 3 As, Computer Science
Liam Simister (De La Salle), A*, 2 A*s and a B, Law
Daniel Thorpe (Tower College), 2 A*s and 3 As, Law
Daniel Thorpe said "Carmel was a great two years for me, from the people I've met to the really supportive staff. I've been given some amazing opportunities and the High Achievers Programme was fantastic in supporting my university application."
Eight students have also progressed to study prestigious Medicine, Dentistry or Veterinary Science courses at university. These students include Rebecca Clarke, Jennifer Griffiths, Amy Lowey, Lydia Makin, Rachel Pennington, Jack Roddy, Craig Scarisbrick and Hannah Shallcross. We also have a number of students who have progressed to prestigious Art, Dance and Performance courses.
