Our Parent Welcome Evening is on Wednesday 5th  July, 6.00 – 8.00pm. It is a great opportunity to reassure you about the support and opportunities which Carmel College can offer your child.

In order for you to prepare for the event and answer any queries you may have, we have provided answers to some Frequently Asked Questions below. We hope this information is helpful to you. Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to book the talks?

There is no need to pre-book the talks. There are a number of Academic, Pastoral and High Achievers+ talks throughout the evening. Please refer to your invite sent via email for times and room numbers. You can also visit our information areas at any time so you can plan your visit to suit you. Please note our 6pm talks can be very popular so you may want to consider attending one of the later times.

Where can I park?

There is limited parking on the college car park but you can also use the West Park Rugby Club car park next door. The college postcode for SAT NAV use is WA10 3AG. If you need disabled access, please email admissions@carmel.ac.uk in advance.

What happens on the Evening?

There will be short presentations from both our Academic and Pastoral Teams as well as talks about our High Achiever+ and MDV (Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary) Programmes.  In addition, you will have the opportunity to talk to Curriculum Leaders about course choices and our Personal Achievement Tutors about pastoral support. You will also be able to find out about admissions, additional learning support, transport, bursaries, careers and enrichment activities.

Do I bring my child with me?

The evening is aimed at parents/guardians as hopefully your child will have been to our Taster Day on Monday 3rd July.  However, if you wish to bring your child they are very welcome.

What if I am unable to attend?

We will post the videos of our talks on the college website following the event. If you have any other questions ahead of enrolment, please contact our Admissions Team who will be pleased to help you – admissions@carmel.ac.uk
