We are really pleased to present our ‘10:10 in Action’ Awards in college this week for the second year running. These awards have been created to support and promote our college ethos, inspired by the quotation from John’s Gospel ‘I have come so that they may have life and live it to the full’ (John 10:10).

At Carmel, we aspire to ensure all our students live out our mission, not just academically but personally too. This award is a fantastic way to encourage and acknowledge students’ personal development and celebrate them ‘living life to the full’.

The 21 students, who received an award, have multiple entries (in double figures) in the college “10:10 in Action” tracker”. They are all ‘living life to the full’ in addition to their academic studies by giving up their time to help others and we are very proud of them all. Here are just a few examples:

Phoebe Holbrook – lucky enough to have recognition from Queen Elizabeth for her Brownie involvement

Abhinav Jeerasoo – outstanding contribution in the Debating society

Molly Carty – been a fantastic support to one of our Foundation Learning students

Hannah Moriarty – volunteering outside of college hours supporting preparation sessions for St.Helens Yr 8 + Yr 9s.

Andrew Haddock – volunteering at Cubs alongside studies

Benjamin Moore – fantastic involvement helping out at the local church
