As part of their Biological Science module on the topic of Animal Transport, our degree students enjoyed a practical lesson dissecting porcine (pig) hearts. This helped them to relate anatomy to physiology and will support their understanding for their forthcoming assessment.

There are 60 students on The University of Liverpool Biological Sciences 4-year degree, the first year of which is delivered here at Carmel College. Successful completion of this year, will enable them to progress directly to The University of Liverpool onto Year 1 of their chosen degree programme. Our current students are planning to progress onto a wide range of degrees including Genetics, Biochemistry, Zoology, Biological and Medical Sciences, Microbiology and Pharmacology.
