Carmel University Centre currently offers the first year of the University of Salford’s BA (Hons) Graphic Design degree. The university has unbeatable links with industry, state of the art facilities and award-winning academics, as well as being located in the heart of Greater Manchester.

In your second and third years on the Graphic Design course, you’ll study at the new £55 million New Adelphi building, the home of the university’s art and design programmes which was officially opened in December 2017.

As well as a dedicated Graphic Design studio, New Adelphi also boasts a printing lab with a huge selection of specialist production equipment, such as screen printers, litho tables, fabric printers, etching presses and felt looms.

The Graphic Design programme sits within the School of Arts and Media, the largest school in the university with more than 4,000 students. Other courses on offer in the school include Animation, Film Production, Fine Art, Film and TV Set Design and Digital Media, among many others, and this presents a multitude of opportunities for collaborative work with students in other subject areas.

Being based at the university’s Peel Park campus means you’re located just a short walk from Manchester city centre, with wide its range of galleries and creative and design organisations. Salford is also home to Islington Mill, a space that brings together artists, performers and designers in one collaborative and creative hub.
