Ten of Carmel's students took part in a mock United Nations debate at Liverpool Town Hall last week.
The students, who are a mixture of Upper and Lower Sixth, have been attending Politics Enrichment sessions as their chosen enrichment activity. In preparation for the annual Model United Nations General Assembly (MUNGA) they performed outstandingly well in this year's debate which took place at Liverpool Town Hall. All of the students involved spoke extremely well at various stages throughout the day. Carmel's students were representing Cuba and achieved, amongst other things, a resolution against the current US trade embargo!
The students are pictured with their tutors Mike McLoughlin and Marie Gettings.
