A very talented Carmel student was recently picked for the England Girls under-17 Football Squad.

Lower Sixth student Stephanie Marsh came to Carmel from St Aelred’s and is currently studying A Levels in Health & Social Care, P.E. and Psychology.  Her passion, however, is football!  Having signed for Everton when she was only 6 years old, she currently plays for Everton Reserves, training with them once a week. She also plays for the Carmel College Girls Five-a-Side team.

However, the College team has had to do without Stephanie for a few weeks recently.  She was picked  for the England Girls under-17 squad to play in the World Cup which is taking place ….. in New Zealand!  We wish her every success in the competition and look forward to hearing all about it on her return – once she’s recovered from the jetlag!
