A report published today places Carmel College 5th out of 172 institutions from across the whole of the North West region.

ALPS (Advanced Level Performance System) has analysed in detail the exam results of 172 A Level providers across the region, including schools, sixth form colleges and further education colleges. ALPS looks at the GCSE grades that students’ achieved before enrolling at each institution and the grades they subsequently achieved in their Advanced Level exams. The progress made by the students is known as “value added”. The higher an institution is placed in the table, the more progress their students’ have made compared to students at other institutions.
