Enrichment at Carmel can lead to a formal qualification that will enhance your CV and University application. The Welcome Host Certificate, which is a Leisure and Tourism enrichment activity, is an excellent example of this and today a group of students who recently achieved this award were presented with their certificates by Karl Smith, Head of Faculty for Business.

When the students were asked what they had gained from the course they said they had learned all about Customer Service which is a skill that not only looks good for prospective employers in the future, but that they can already put into practice if they have a part time job for example.

The students hope to go on to study the ‘Welcome Host Plus Certificate’ in the Summer Term. Susanne Maher, Head of Leisure and Tourism, commented ‘I am really proud of the students and I would like to thank each of them for all of their hard work.’
