An Associate College
Carmel College is an Associate College of the University of Liverpool. It is a Beacon of Excellence and is one of only a small number of Colleges in the country to achieve this recognition.
Carmel College was inspected by Ofsted in July 2007 and achieved a Grade 1 in all categories. Ofsted Inspectors said, "Carmel College is outstanding in all aspects of its provision."
A Well Established College
Carmel College has well established links with the University of Liverpool and has successfully offered the Foundation Degree Programme since 1994.
The courses on offer include: Biological Sciences; Chemical Sciences; Computer Science; Engineering; Computer Information Systems; Earth Sciences; Geography; Physical Science; Mathematical Science and Access to Medicine and Dentistry.

Sport and Recreation
Students studying at Carmel College have full access to the sporting facilities of both the College and the University. Students can play in University or College teams. There are excellent University sports grounds close to the Halls of Residence. The facilities provided by the College include a sports hall with multi-gym, aerobic studio, rowers, treadmills, cross trainer etc. Also within the College grounds there are rugby, football and hockey pitches. These facilities will be further enhanced by the addition of two all-weather, floodlit training pitches in the next couple years, as part of Carmel's building programme.
