After leaving Carmel, you will join the Level 2 programme at The University of Salford. This will be an easy transition as you will have visited the Salford campus and met the staff during the first year.
At Salford you will experience the following:
Level 2:Design and Professional Practice - the focus shifts in level 2 to graphic design in its professional and vocational contexts, extending to marketing, business and the global context of visual communications in the 21st century. Continue studies in international cultures and visual communication, develop greater experience of technological media, and undertake a prestigious London-based or regional placement.
Level 3: Design, Self-Direction and Analysis - a series of specialist option modules are selected by students. Advanced Graphic Design 1 and 2, Multimedia Presentation, Time-Based Media and Creative Technology are studied in depth. The final semester requires students to negotiate their creative agenda through a major self-directed project where inventive studio practice is underpinned by research, leading to a dissertation.

Primarily we aim to offer all our students a rigorous and challenging course which explores the contemporary map of graphic design culture and breaks down its boundaries.
