Student Council

Student Council

The Student Council is elected by the students to work for the good of all students in College. It consists of 14 student officers who have a range of roles, responsibilities and skills and who represent students' views in many areas of College life, including cross-college committees such as Equal Opportunities, Chaplaincy, Health and Safety and the Governing Body. Representatives work alongside staff and provide the student voice in discussions on all aspects of College policy.

The Council also fulfils a vital role in the community and social life of the College by, for example organising fund raising activities, social functions (including our hugely successful Leavers' Ball), sports events and band events.

The Student Council is affiliated to the National Union of Students and Carmel students have the option of buying an NUS card for a small fee.
