Unfortunately some students encounter problems during their time at university. Carmel College and The University of Salford offers a lot of practical support to help our students get through difficult periods.
The first port of call for many students is their Personal Tutor, Programme Leader or indeed any member of staff felt appropriate. It may be the case that whilst such staff are unable to offer direct help and advice, they can usually direct students quickly to someone within the institution who can. Merely sharing problems can often help.
The University recognises that the nature of difficulties experienced by students is wide ranging and may often be both complex and confidential in nature.
